Toyota Certified used - Questions??

Hello All,

I got a toyota certified used 02 XLE (4 cyl) today. 48 K miles.

Well they could not find the owners manual. The one they gave me was an 05 Camry gudie

Is there a place where I can download the owners guide?

I want to know the functioning of the few steering wheel button on the 02 XLE. Its seems to control dispalay of miles to empty, some E/T thing... then Avg MPH and Avg MPG.

Avg MHP and Avg MPG are totally crazy. I want to know if something is wrong first. There is a 3 months/ 3000 mile comprehensive warranty because its a certified car. (Not sure how much toyota dealers will honor that etc..I have my doubts)

Also I got only one Key and one remote. THey did not have the second pair.. what do I do? despite being toyota certified I have all these hassles at the dealer .

I got it from is quite far away. I hope I can walk into any toyta dealer for any issues in the first 3 months/3k miles.

thanks.

Try E-Bay

I did a search for a 2002 XLE Owners manual online...you might have luck trying that...but I found this on e-bay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...spagenameZWDVW

hope it helps.

Thx I actually found the 02 Owners guide online.

whats the best/cheapest way to get:
1. the second valet key and
2. lock nut socket for the wheels?

I am planning to call the dealer in MD where I got this car and demand for the second key & lock nut socket. Dam despite being a toyota certified all this hassles.

I would check on Toyota.com and review the section on "Certified Used Cars" to answer this question. If you don't find anything there, I would call Toyota corporate customer service at 1-800-331-4331 and ask them. That way, when you go to your local dealer, you will know what to expect. I would do this relatively soon. 3000 miles can go pretty quick.

- IMO, the reading are crazy cus you have an option to set them at fuel fill ups (sorry i don't have that camry hence i don't know if off hand).
- A valet key is available from toyota for a price close to 1 bill (too expensive IMO).
- get a guide from ebay, cheaper and should explain you the the steering contorls.

I am not sure on toyota certified cars (but the lexus certified program which we got honored problems at any dealership - it is infact an extended warranty).
