I am actually waiting for them to come out with BSM with the chrome insert. I like my car to have that elegant look and the Chrome stripped BSM's will definitely add that touch. I am also going to order those LED Turn signal mirrors you see on the Japanese Camry. I do not like the all chrome handles but I would like to have the chrome trimmed handles like the Benz's, has anyone seen these available or know where I can get them custom made?

All these expensive modifications to a car that can be totalled in an accident at the snap of a finger.

I am just being realistic. I understand that most people on this site are auto enthusiast and thus they are into mods whereas the majority of people arent so they wouldnt concern themselves with it. But i've already been involved in a minor accident with my new baby and so has some other people and I think its pointless to waste money doing all that for something that you just spend a small fraction of your day in and especially considering how people have no sense of driving these days and can end up jackin up your ride. All that money would be down the drain. The only mod I would make to my Camry if I had the money is to MAYBe get the 18" TRD Rims Toyota offers as an option. Other than that I wouldnt waste my money. I got tints on my car and that is the only mod (if you can call it that) that i've done so far.

To each his own LunarMist...but you shouldn't be so quick to say that the people who like to mod their cars are pointlessly wasting their money. Especially when it seems from your intelligent reasoning up above....that you pointlessly wasted 20k+ on your new Camry since you were already "involved in a minor accident with [your] new baby."

If you really believe what you are saying, then why did you upgrade from a '02 Camry LE to a '07 Camry SE if we only spend a small fraction of our day in the car? And why spend the extra money on luxury items such as leather interior, moonroof, and upgraded JBL system, and possibly 18" TRD wheels when it will all go to waste when you get into an accident or the car is stolen?

Firstly, my purchase of my new Camry was not an "upgrade" it was a smart practical move that I made after consulting with friends and family. Secondly, I dont have leather interior and the moonroof and upgraded JBL system came installed, not added options. My thing is if people are going to be so pressed to spend thousands of dollars on mods they might as well have gotten a car that came with all of those add-ons from the getgo if they were that essential. I would feel stupid buying an SE and then adding a bunch of accessories to TRY and turn my car into an XLE when I could have just gotten the XLE in the first place and probably saved some money. Aftermarket things aren't always less expensive.

Cars are not specifically made for one individual since everyone likes and dislikes are different. I gotta admit though, it would be nice to order a car specifically the way I want with a bunch of aftermarket stuff already installed . Too bad it's too unrealistic.

Isn't that 'the big' feature with Scion?

Yes, and with the Mini Cooper, but they are still not appealing to each and every individual. What I'm trying to point out is, if each and every one of us could buy a car, specifically built with all the stuff we want from factory, then each of us would be driving in a unique vehicle and there will be no need for the aftermarket industry since everyone is driving in their dream car that has everything they wanted already. But anyway, back to reality.

LOL...

I have BSM on my SE My SE arrived at the dealership without the BSM and I actually thought backing off the BSM order but I got it regardless. I admit it does obstruct the body flow slightly but it's not that bad.

hey frost vibe, is it too late to re-position the BSMs? I was thinking if positioned lower on the door... give it cleaner line, no? like this...

I don't see why not... I suppose as long as the BSMs are the same length in Canada as they're in Asia, just so the BSMs fit the door.

Mine is position in the typical position about 1/2 way up, like Joe B.

You still upgraded. You got the se. If you only spend a little bit of time in it and all that bad stuff can happen then why not just get base model stuff? Your upgraded options are not different then what anyone else is doing. We are just taking things a step further.
