Anyone order the 07 SE w/ NAV? How long did it take?
I'm trying to see how long it took everyone to get the 07 SE with NAV. I ordered mine July 30th and still don't have a build date. Should I be worried or is this normal?
I really want the SE with the nav... but this is taking forever! I was thinking about backing out on the deal, but as you can see below... I got an awesome deal!! What should I do?
Anyone get the SE with NAV in MD/DC/VA area? How long did it take you?
i ordered an SE 4cyl w/o NAV, on Aug 10th, and am supposed to receive delivery on Oct 9th, so I would say something is definately wrong with you not hearing back anything thusfar. i would call and complain to the inventory manager or better yet go in person and talk with him/her
but no way it should take that long, i would guess 3-4 months MAX for any customer toyota
I was told it would take 6 months if you ordered a SE with NAV. Maybe you got such a great deal because you would have to wait such a long time, and by then dealerships would have to come down on their prices after the hype has gone down and Camry sales slows down.
That seems kinda of long. I was lucky back in mid may there was 2 inbound SE V6's with Navi to the dealer I was buying from, One Titanium and the other Magnetic Grey. It was at the Portland port and about 9 days out, so I bought it on the spot.
You got a very good price.... maybe there're having second thoughts on the price and going to reneg on the deal and just giving you the run around etc. I do what sammya_md says, go talk to the manager and find out what's up. Some dealers are known to do the bait and switch or change their minds on a deal and use lame excuses.
i wonder if these newly built camry shipments will still have problems
I asked that question in the "should i skip the 07 camry altogether" thread, and reasoned that Toyota would never build 250,000 cars with known problems quality or design issues and wait until over a million are made before the 08s come out to fix them. that said, someone replied with a camry built in august and has no problems.

Mine arrived in about 4 weeks, but I 'modified' the options on an incoming vehicle, so it wasn't a special order, per se. I got it from Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg, and a darned good deal, if I may say so ($600 over invoice and cost on all port options). I signed the papers in March, and had my car in early April.
She now has over 10k miles and not a problem to speak of.

DC - I ordered almost the same car except in Titanium Silver and with Traction Control. I got (should say ordered) mine for $28,100...not quite as good of a deal, but I was happy. MSRP was almost $31k.
Anyway, I am in a different region (WI), but ordered mine on July 27th. At order, they gave me an estimated delivery date of Sept 27th...still no date as of today. I actually called them and asked them about it last week....the manager called to tell me that delivery may not be until December, or possibly even January...said that NAV in SE model is very hard to come by. Not happy...I'm now considering an Acura...TL's sitting on the lot with NAV ready to go.
I'm having a very hard time believing anything I hear from a toyota rep at this time. Every employee has a different opinion and it is all hear say. Their employee's don't even know what is going on....no fault to the employee here since Toyota corp won't tell them anything. Toyota may just be getting too big for their own good. Bad taste in my mouth as of now, and I don't even have the car yet.
I was told by my dealer that Camry's with nav systems were still comming from Japan, but that was 2 months ago. Things may have changed since then. I ordered a XLE v6 with nav and it did come from Japan, but it only took a month to get it.

From what I was told, getting NAV in an XLE is no problem, whereas for a SE with NAV is special order.

They are coming from Japan because you are on the West Coast. Mine as do nearly all of them in the Mid-Atlantic, came from Kentucky.
