USA 07 se V6 Pricing and Options confilct

Ok, so I'm new to posting on this site, but I have an issue. I've recently been looking to purchase an 07 black SE V6. All the dealers that I have talked to either don't have them or have them with a loaded option package (JBL eight speaker stereo system, mp3/bluetooth, moonroof, traction control, spoiler, and leather package that includes heated seats and heated mirrors). I like these options, but it bumps the msrp to around 29k-30k. I haven't been able to find any V6 SE's without all these options and I really could do without the premium speaker system, moonroof, leather package, and traction control. Basically I'm looking for a price around 26k. I don't know if its just in my area that all these options are included (north burbs of chicago), or if it is just everywhere? I asked the dealer about special ordering with just a couple of options and he said I wouldn't be able to get it until 4 to 6 months after the fact. I really haven't tried much price negotiation on the SE V6's that come loaded, but on edmunds it says people are basically paying the sticker price for them. I really don't find it worth it to pay a few grand more for options that I really don't want/need, but I can't see myself waiting the 4 to 6 months to get a new car. Just wanted to let everyone know about my situation and see if anyone has any advice or thoughts on it.

$200 over invoice. Call these guys about what you want. They should be able to order something or have one in their pipeline for you.

I got my SE V6 loaded with everything except for nav for $26,400 out the door, I don't see why this would be any different elsewhere in the country...?

When I started looking for a 07 Camry SE about a month ago, neither of the two nearby Toyota dealers had any Camrys in stock - none! I asked them to look for available SEs (in the pipeline or possible trades with other dealers). All SEs in this region are orderd with a minimum of a moonroof and rear spoiler, neither of which I wanted.

The only option I had (and the dealer really discouraged it), was to order and wait a projected delivery of 3-4 months minimum. I ordered what I wanted, but don't have a clue when my SE might be delivered...

Patience grasshopper, Patience....

nrg84, to me atleast, the reason why you're not finding a base SE V6 is simply because you live in the north burbs of Chicago... which for the most part is extremely afluent, no? So... take a trip to a dealer in south east Chicago and I'll bet they'll have a few in stock...

i think you should special order. being in chicago, you should i would think get a car from the kentucky plant, which shouldn't take more than 8 weeks. i ordered a 4 cyl SE 5spd from fitzgerald (link in above posts), and got a good price from them, and was able to get it without a moonroof/JBL stereo/etc....and they were happy to help me get a color and options i wanted.

check them out, i can refer you to a good salesguy who i dealt with if you need, just leave me a message
