Catz are not garbage kits sorry to say that. Its pretty much the only kit made in japan and really high quality useing oem stuff. While in some situations putting hids in halogen reflectors is bliding, in other cases its not bad at all. I have had hids in my housing and i turned it down just a little and i had barely any glare. While i do agree that projectors are the best choice particularly the LS430 projectors (the best available) hids in some housings arent bad at all.

Now im even more confused about HIDs than b4 reading this thread... is this thread geared more for gen5 camrys or gen6? so heres what i learned from this thread and correct me if i'm wrong... for gen6 you dont need to retrofit and can actually used plug-n-play HID kits?

Uh, no. You can use plug-and-play HID kits in any car, but its always gonna suck balls compared to a proper retrofit, regardless of whether the car has halogen projectors or not.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
