Has anybody replaced their 6X9s?

I have a LE Camry and the stock speakers quite frankly suck. However, I had two questions about replacing them:

1) Can aftermarket 6X9s with big magnets fit in the front doors?
2) Do you have to remove the front door panels to take out the stock speakers or can the grille just be removed?
3) Do the rear window speaker grilles come out by themselves or does the entire rear dash have to come out also?

Thanks for the help guys!

Andrew

Try the search function, I know there have been at least 4 posts on this exact topic.

To remove the rear-speakers you have to remove the rear seats, a-pillar trim, and the entire rear deck plastic cover. The grills just don't pop-out. Check the service manual.

And of course you have to remove the front door panels.

Tried it and came up with nothing. What were the keywords you searched?

I need to. I actually like the stock sound system
(i have the factory not JBL) and, I have to replace both of the rear speakers. The reason i like the stock system, is because there is not too much bass, nor lack of. Its just right...

Call Crutchfield, or take off the rear-deck and measure...?

You can technically make whatever 6x9 you choose fit there, just depends on the level of modification you're willing/able to do.

Did he answer most of your question above? You do have to remove basically the whole back of the camry to get to those speakers, as well as the door panels to get to the front ones.. I have no idea how to get to the "tweeters" (3" component I think) in the front dash...

its all possible, I'm guessing you can make shims if you need to raise it up a little to fit a bigger magnet... but I don't know.
