06 steering wheel on a 02?

Im thinking about buying a camry, a 02 in particular. Im looking for something with higher miles and low cost. I like the 02 since they basically look like the 06's, but i like how the 06's have the radio controls on the steering wheel. Has anyone swapped the steering wheel into an older camry and if so what was the total cost?

Thanks guys, this is my first post so im a newb.

I wanted to know the same.

Even the 05 has sterring wheel controls... Mine is a 02 XLE and it has that clock/info sterring wheel controls that are pretty much useless to have.

break down of costs... steering wheel itself will cost you about $350; airbag will cost you about $500 - 600; and finally, miscellaneous switches and wires that you'll probably need will cost you about $300 or so. you're looking at $1000+ just for steering wheel controls and no guarantee that it'll fit or work... do you really think thats worth it? might as well buy the 05-06 camry if the steering wheel controls are that important to you.

alternatively... you could get aftermarket steering wheel controls for 1/10th the price.
