2007 Camry Base Stereo Question: how to skip MP3 in Randomize mode?

Hello,

Sorry for the repost, but no one provided me with a good answer. I'll try asking again.

We just received our 2007 Camry SE with C package (here in Canada) which comes with the base stereo system.

When using an MP3 disc, I can randomize the whole disc. But how do I skip a track if it's one I don't want to listen to at that time? Yes, I tried the skip feature naturally, but doing that just moves to the next sequential track in the MP3 folder (or the next folder if I'm on the last track in the folder). It DOES NOT move to the NEXT RANDOMIZED song. This is really annoying.

I can fast forward through most of the song then let it naturally randomize, but cannot just skip. Needless to say, I can't go through life just fast forwarding every song I don't want to here... I'll go nuts!

I could press randomize again, but then it forgets which tracks it's already played, obviously.

Please help with how to SKIP the track during RANDOMIZING of the MP3 playback.

Thank you very much for your time and help.
Julian

I think the answer from the last thread was that the only way you can skip it is if you re-randomize it and that there was no other way of doing this. (O and don't put the song in the cd--Sound familiar )

I had the same complaint. It's quite ridiculous that skipping tracks doesn't go to the next random track. Every piece of computer software (iTunes, winamp, etc) that I've ever used skips to a random track, I believe.

Ummm, well thanks for reminding me that I can re-randomize the disc... problem is, AS I ALREADY MENTIONED, it forgets which tracks it's already played, so you end up hearing the same songs (and I think the randomize algorithm may not be the best either).

From the lack of really useful responses, I take it that it's just an inherent flaw in this stereo. It seems like a simple thing that they overlooked. Oh well.

Thanks to all who tried to answer my question or took the time to read it.
