Can anybody tell me where I can get17 or 18 inch wheels in black for my gen 6? I'm looking for a high gloss black wheel with a chrome or high polshed silver lip. Anyone know if toyota offers anything similar factory wise?
I'm not sure where you can find the wheels but I would think they would probably have something you like at tirerack.com. You should be able to view an image of what the wheels would look like on your car there as well. Also, I doubt that Toyota would have a black sporty wheel like the one you describe available. You will have to get aftermarket for that look. Good luck and welcome to TN.

Those for $799 are really cheap I paid $1700 for mine, they are forged and with Michellins. There is a wheels that wasn't available when I got mine but It's a beautiful wheel. They all look the same, but when you look close they are NOT, there is stainless steal lip or polished lip, square lip or rounded, forged or cast wheel, etc etc.....
This are the one that I have
This are the ones that I'm talking about. Check out the LX3 style in black, they are really smoth lines and they have a wide lip.... http://www.luxewheels.com/wheel.html
PS: Avoid the ones with a lot of chrome bolts around the wheel, they are a pain to clean, I have to blow air on mine and use a Q-tip to clean them.....
And the most important thing is that the polished part is coated, so you don't have to polish them..

I personally don't know that brand, but it doesn't mean that they aren't good... Like I mentioned before, there are different things that make a rim good, but the most important I guess is the weight. Forged rims are lighter then cast rims.... Sometime you are just paying for brand and sometimes you get what you paid for...I'll recommend that you do some research or try to see the rim personally up close and see the finish and the weight..
Thanks guys. Ya'll have been real helpful. I'm gonna probably go with cast wheels cause pf the bad new jersey roads, and I'm over 300 lbs. What are the consequences of not dropping your car if you increase the size in wheels on it?
Also, how do you guys feel about having black wheels on in the winter? We all know you gotta remove the chrome, but does that apply to the black also....or can you rock it in the snow?
