Gen6 NAV version 6.1 - Possible Override - But need help of v6.1 owners!!

Hey guys--

LexusOwnersClub.com Forum Post:
http://www.clublexus.com/forums/show...&postcount=124

I was over on the lexus forum last night and came across an interesting article about re-authoring the v6.1 disc with a file from the v5.1 disc. This process is supposed to have the v6.1 map data, but still allow the Volume Screen Override Procedure.

I would like to try and test this, but I DO NOT want to purchase the v6.1 DVD from Toyota until I know I can get this to work. I need a volunteer who would be willing to make a copy of the files on their v6.1 DVD & share it with me via BitTorrent - or who can burn it to a Double Layer DVD & mail it to me.

If anyone can help with this, please PM me.

I will purchase the v6.1 from Toyota to have it legit, but only after I verify that this procedure works with the Toyota. I don't want to upgrade because I use this override all the time, and it would be a real step backward for me! If I can get this to work, I'm sure I'll have a lot of people on this forum happy about finding a cure for he v6.1 override blues!

Better yet... I lives in Northern NJ, if anyone live in North/Central NJ between exits 105 & 165 on the parkway, I can meet you at a convenient spot to test this "HACK"!

PM ME.

Triz isn't able to burn the NAV DVD, as he only has a single-layer dvd burner.

Come on guys, I know everyone with the v6.1 has been asking for the override procedure.

I need someone with v6.1 nav software to PM me, so we can arrange for someone to send me the files off of the v6.1 DVD so I can test of this "hack"

Ok, this seems like the best possible solution that I have seen. I Just got my new car this weekend, and want to figure this out. I of course have the 6.1 version. If anyone can PM me and attach the LOADING.KWI file from the 5.1 disk I will try it out, and let everyone know if it works.
