Question Rim Dipping

I have done a few searches and came up with nothing.

I was just curious if anybody has ever had their stock alloy wheels dipped in chrome?

check this out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYOT...48331363QQrdZ1

These are the exact same wheels that I have and I have to admit...it does sound tempting.

I was just curious about the quality of a rim after being dipped.

You would think that it would be a lot heavier...I wouldnt know because I have never owned a chrome wheel to compare it too.

Let me hear your thoughts fellas?

If I were to trade wheels I would like to ask for the new ES350 wheels he has...NICE...but I doubt he would do it.

I have not had my stock camry rims dipped, however, I can say that OEM-Rims in Claifornia is a great company. (Company that you give the eBay link to)

I purchased 2001 Lexus ES300 Platinum Edition Rims (OEM) from them (Same as 2004 Toyota Avalon XLS Rims) - They were like $400 or $450 shipped to my house (I live in NJ), they included both Toyota & Lexus Center Caps & Chrome Valve Stems.

Lexus / Toyota wanted over $350 EACH PER RIM!!! - I saved a bundle through this company, and the rims came in Toyota Parts Boxed - sealed from the factory!!!

It's actually a she! - I don't know her name, but she is very nice & goes out of her way to get what you need! - Highly recommend this company.

As far as chrome exchange - they will only exchange out for the SAME EXACT RIM! - I've already asked. However, your stock rim may be in demand for them, so ask if you outright buy the chrome ES350 rims, will they give you anything off if you send them your current rims afterwards!

let us know how it goes!
