If you don't mind me asking, what did they do to compensate her since it was such a new car?

That is the exact reason I want to learn body work.......

The flower was plucked before it even had the chance to bloom.........
No I am not a chick but sensitive about Toyota issues.

So sad.........

I believe there is nothing major wrong with the car.. The engine is undamaged and so is the main frame of the car.. The side clips are not pressed in as I can see... The front clip and radiator and bumper assembly are the main things. The hood and fenders are just covers.

If someone can find parts, it could be easily repaired... Am I too optimistic?

They paid her for "lost resale value."

There is no such thing as a nice insurance company when they are apying you for their policy holder being at fault. They will only do what is required by law, and nothing more. Don't fool yourself by the spin of their agent or adjuster.

Not true, I have USAA (Military and family only service) and they always do above and beyond because their privately owned and have billions of dollars from all their wealthy retired generals and officers

I have USAA as well. They don't count since they are an exception to the rule since it isn't available to the general public. There is a reason they are consitentaly ranked as #1 in customer service. Next is probably Erie as the closest thing available to the general public. Even so, USAA treats non-policy holders differently than their own customers.
