07 camry....question about light on speedomoter

this is my first post, i just picked up my 2007 super white camry SE 4cyl with NAV. I have a question about the lights on the speedomiter, when my headlights are off the instrimunet cluster still lights up (the stereo dosent light up)but when i turn my headlights on the panel get dimmer and the lights on the stereo and NAV turn on........I guess my question is in your camrys, when you have the headlights OFF is the light on the tach and speedomoter on?

I agree. But LunarMist seriously, how many people read their owner's manual? I read mine the first night I got my '07.

I cannot understand why he simply can't control himself not to post the same thing over and over: "READ THE MANUAL!!!" You think by now he would simply ignore this type of threads, but nope, he always gotta post something like 'OMG!!! How stupid can you be!!! Read the damn MANUAL!!!!' or something of that sort.

LunarMist, "chill."

Why do we even come here? I don't know about you, but I sure don't come here to get pissed off if someone asks a simple question, whether it be something one could find in the owner's manual, or something that's been asked a hundred times before. What else are we gonna do here other than talk about our cars?

There's just no need for hostilities -- if you don't want to answer a question, just move on -- someone else very likely will jump in and help the member out.

Heck, every now and then, we even actually learn something during the discussion of one of these "it's in the owner's manual" questions. Again, I don't know about you, but one really big part of why I come here is to learn something new every now and then.

So, relax, be a friend, and enjoy yourself here. That's why the rest of us are here....

Totally agree with you Epsilon. There must be a prize for ringing up the numbers of post in one's profile?!?!

There's always a lot of keyboard tough guys out there. I remember back when forums were email lists (10 years ago), I finally got to meet at a car club event a keyboard tough guy. Let's just say 'Light's out'!

BTW welcome BallinCam07 feel free to ask questions no matter how simple etc. As they say... no question is a stupid one.

Some people just won't read the manual cause they know someone will give them answers. So if we know absolutely that the answer to their question is in the manual we should be kind and tell them the section its in. If We're feeling particularly good maybe the page # A lot of the questions newbies ask can be found on the search feature of this site.

There might be something in the owners manual about accident avoidance that may be worth reading too.
