Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
i just bought a 2007 camry Le 4 cilynder and about to get a 20" rims but im not sure if its goin to fit my car, i know it does but im afraid it'll scracth the fender or have major problems if the car is to bouncy. plus it'll slow down the car since the tires are so big!! if any1 here ever bought 20" wheels for their camry, please let me know how it is. and what size tires i should get, thank you.
and would this rim fit my car? im afraid when i turn it might hit the spring or someting
You will need to know the offset to see if they will fit or not without any problems. Since you bought a I4 and want 20" wheels, I doubt you are into performance. The wheels you want seems pretty heavy, they will decrease your handling and acceleration big time. On a side note, you currently have 16x6.5 with 215/60/16 tires and going with 20x8.5 and 245/35/20 is definately in increase in width.
I'm currently sporting 19's but I just recently bought a set of 19's Axis Hiros and trying to sell them to upgrade to 20's. If I can't sell them, I'll prolly switch out my current wheels to sport the Hiros.

i was wondering if spring is required for 20" rims cause i just want to have stock spring. thanx

I would definately recommend getting aftermarket springs to reduce the fender gap and preventing your ride from looking like a 4x4 due to the large 20"s.

We have a XLE V6 in the showroom sitting on 20"s and does not look that bad but 20"s are heavy.
Im leary about going 20s as well. I was actually just going to do 19s with the TRD drop and call it good. I love akiras car, but i think with a bit bigger wheel it would look even better. Whcih is why I chose 19s instead of 18s.
Btw, akira, did you do your springs yourself? Or did you have the dealer do them?
Hey i dont know if you looking to ride big or not man but 22s will fit. Ive seen it on the Nokturnal Camry, and also on a Black on at Nopi Nationals. It Fills up the Wheel wheilds real well. If you want it to look big go with 22s I got 19'' right now, and im not satisfied. im also trying to sell them to someone that has like an eclipse or something. I think i might bag my cam first and see if i like 19" still, cuz it looks like the wheel will tuck pretty good.

I got 245-35-20 on my LE I-4. No it won't rub the fenders. No its not bouncy, My wife can't even feel the difference from stock wheels unless you hit deep pot holes. It won't become slower just because you have big rims and tires, but one thing for sure its a hit on my MPG!!! I use to get 28MPG on stock wheels and now I can't even get pass 25MPG. Overall I'm happy, I just miss the comfort and MPG my stock wheels gives me. Hey mine are almost the same with 7 spokes instead of 5.
Keeping on the topic of rim sizes on performance, if you had a lot of money, wouldn't buying large light-weight rims be ok or better than stock for handling responsiveness? For example, ones like these BBS rims on tire-rack?: (20.8 lbs/rim)
