Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Well when i got my tint done i got 20% on the front two windows and 15% on the back 3. But now i have been considering changing it all to 20%. Look at my cardomain pics and let me know if you like the current or if i should change it up.
I have never understood the practice of using TWO different shades of tint on a sedan. It works out on SUVs I guess because there are more windows but it just looks retarded on a car. I have 15% tints all-around on my Camry...no tint on the front window. Anyway, leave it alone since--like already mentioned---5% wont be much of a difference unless you are retinting the whole car.

But what if you wanted the front windows tinted? In Ontario atleast, that would mean
35% all around. Too light, no?

Well if you are asking me specifically, I cant provide any answers because I've never even entertained the idea of tinting my front windows. I want to see as clearly as possible and I cant understand why someone would want to dimminish their field of view with tints on the windshield. But I know in the state of Maryland, anything over 35% is illegal and tinting your windshield is ILLEGAL PERIOD. I refused to get any tints under higher than 20% because IMO its a waste of money. I get tints to block the sunlight, to provide privacy, as well as for vanity and 35% just looks too damn light. I can see clearly through 35% tints.
hey lunar mist, u said in your post that u have 15% all around.. but then u say that u dont have any front window tint.... but your pic shows u with tint on your front windows... and u proceed to say u would never entertain the idea of tinting front windows.... im confused!
Frank20...i would leave it the way it is...and when you have the money, look into a higher end tint. Maybe smethign with a metallic look. Either way..IMO i think that at some point you should change, whatever tint you want, to have the tint be all the same percentage, not a tapered look. IF you want the tappered/gradiation look i think it would be best pulled off with a lighter tint. Dark tints look good the same.

Perhaps you should get your peepers checked out because CLEARLY there are NO tints on my front window.

not trying to start an argument, just showing u what i meant and why i was confused by what seems to me contradicting statements.. and your front windows sure look tinted to me. maybe u meant front window as your windshield?

Sorry for the confusion. I thought that it would have been obvious what I was referring to but I can see now how someone would get confused. When I said "front windows" I was in fact speaking of the "windshield".

That's what I meant. In Ontario, it's illegal to tint the 'driver and passenger' windows darker than 35%, so if we were to only use the same shade all around, to avoid the gradiated look... it would have to be 35% all around... too light, IMO.
