Gen6 Special Edition Ground Effects Package

I stopped by Stadium Toyota here in Tampa and came accross a rather interesting looking LE. At first glance I though it was an SE but a closer inspection revealed a dressed up LE. Check it out...the kit looks pretty good and so you get an idea of what the difference is I'm posting an SE with factory kit.

As you can see the LE kit comes in three pieces in the front and back. The side skirts appear to be identical on both models.

This kit including a set of 18" wheels and chrome exhaust tip is prices at $3,299.

This brings the price for this other wise stock LE to $24,969.28.

I know this is off topic , but anyone know what the heck is the pre-cut square thing for on the front bumper of that LE for? I've notices that the SE didn't have one....

It's an anchor point for shipping straps...this will usually indicate that the Camry was built in Japan and brought over by ship.

Wow, that LE kit looks clean. It's less sporty/agressive, and more refined, sorta of like a luxury-oriented performance sedan. Very nice and interesting; stock 18s are a nice touch to, even though I don't care much for the wheel design.

Other then the stock SE kit I think this so called "Special Edition" is the next best thing when compared with the Razzi kit which I think looks cheap.

I'm planning on a hybrid in the new year and would love to dress it up like a SE

I wonder what material the lip kit is made out of and why does it comes in 3 pieces for the front and rear. In my opinion, it would of looked cleaner if the front and rear were 1 pieces.

I want to know if the sticker is factory or a dealer label.

It appeared to be factory, all on one sheet. Most dealer additions I've seen have an addition smaller sheet attached on the side. This one did not...

I'll get a complete shot tomorrow.

South East Toyota (your private distributor) puts a lot of non-Toyota crap on the vehicles and calls that version "special edition" to make more profit on the car before it's forwarded to the dealer for sale to you. There are a lot of cobbled up LEs and CEs that have Enkei alloys, Katzkin leather seats and other aftermarket goodies on the vehicles before they are shipped to the dealers. This can be a nightmare after a few years or if you move above the ALabama state line, where the cars come directly to the dealers from the factory.

It's aftermarket and not OEM (original esuipment Manufacturer) equipment, so some of us outside the distributors sales area don't get the same "port installed" upgrades you guys are sold. We also aren't forced into paying for the $700 Toyogard plus paint and fabric sealant packages the distributor puts on the vehicles and the "factory" window stickers either.
You see the window sticker says

Total From Manafacturer's Label
Distributors Installed Options

So the distributor added these (see quote above)
