07 passenger seat question!!!

Okay... so the other day, i finally noticed that the passenger airbag light continuously
said airbag OFF, when there was a passenger in the car...
This occured with multiple passengers... and yeah it kinda scares the living crap outta me
just in case you know...

1. 100 ish pounds
2. 140 ish pounds
3. 120 ish pounds

all the passengers had their belts buckeled...
the only way i found for it to say AIRBAG ON was if they were to move int heir seat
and unbuckle and rebuckle their belts...

i think its kinda dangerous to have the sign OFF for people under 140 lbs...

anyone else?
a fix?

ps. no ones going to gain weight

ya it should say on even where there's like a 20 lb object in my passenger seat. i could press down on the seat and the airbag sign would light up. u should get it checked at a dealership
