I'm not sure what normal rust is. That would be a lot of rust here in Texas, but up in Conn. you have seen three winters with the sand and salt that comes with it. I don't think you have a huge dealer problem here-just the road conditions are tough. Get some black Rustoleum or something similar, clean it up, and repair the paint to slow down further rusting.

over here in the rust belt, that looks about normal. you should see the condition of my wifes liberty. that will give you something to over. im sure the rust you see is just cosmetic and wont lead to stut failure if thats what youre worried about.
