Question A Few ?'s for recent 2007 se v6 owners

I will be ordering the se v6 fully loaded around March, but i have a couple of questions first...hopefully someone can help me out. I noticed on the toyota website, the options list the spoiler as standard, but when u get on the accesorries page, it lists it as an additional option under a different code...RF & R7. Is there a difference between the two?

Does anyone have both the remote starter & the vip security system installed? If so, do they give you one remote that operates both, or two seperate remotes?

Regarding the navigation, I read somewhere that if you program a destination on the navi while playing a cd, that when it goes back into audio mode, the names of the songs get all jumbled, is this true? Also, I have an ipod, is there anything other than the aux input i can use to control it?

Also, are there any post 12/06 - 1/07 builds with transmission problems or any other problems showing up that I should be aware of?

Thanks

The two are one in the same. It is listed in the accessories section as a general item and doesn't change when you choose the SE during 'build your car'.

I have remote start, but not the alarm. That said, I am fairly confident it is just the same remote. The remote start actually works by pressing the lock doors button three times, holding the last press for a couple of seconds until you get the response light flash/beep from the car.

I have not seen the issue you mention in my experience. As for the iPod, if you don't have the satellite radio installed, you can use the UsaSpec iPod adapter. It can be found on Crutchfield.com or with/without sat radio you can use the Vaistech iPod integration adapter. Both give you iPod control through the OEM system including steering wheel controls.

Based on my reading here, I think you will be more than fine based on build date to avoid potential tranny concerns, but I will recommend you do some reading of the threads and decide for yourself.

Cheers, and welcome to the board.

Thanks very much, I appreciate the reply! A couple more questions if you don't mind. Are the wood grain and smarkey options only available on the xle? I could live without the wood grain but the smarkey options is one i'd like to have. Also, what is the problem with the navigation that owners feel the need to override it? I read a thread about it but nowhere did it say why they are doing it. Sorry for the dumb questions, i'm new to this.

The over ride is to unlock the 'in motion' locks. It allows you to have access to certain buttons and changes that normally get 'locked' when the car exceeds like 5 mph.
