Paint chipping problems with 2007 Camry's?

I purchased a "Super White" LE Camry about a weak and a half ago, and noticed that I already have TWO CHIPS; one at the bottom of my rear bumper and one on the lower part of the front bumper.

I only commute about 25 miles to and from work about six days/week with a mixture of sidestreets and freeways. I barely noticed the chipping yesterday during a carwash. I called my dealer and they said told me to set up an appointment with their in-house bodyshop.

I am extremely pissed because I also own a 2000 LE Camry and it did not experience chipping until last year! (it's all black).

The paintjob IMO, seems iffy and it seems like the manufacturer only laced the car with one coat of paint?

Has anyone else had problems with this? The dealer told me that they DO NOT COVER "stone" chipping? this has to be a joke because I just purchased this car and added a 7 year warranty!

Has anybody had the same experience? I only have 300 miles on my camry so far!

Sorry I had to vent..

You can get a paint chip with 10 miles. It happens. I know it sucks. You might want to look into a clear bra.

Here's an article on that 3m mask you purchased:

http://www.automotivearticles.com/Clear_Bra_3M.shtml

pretty extensive testing (as the tester fired pellets at it lol) and shows what kind of solutions you can use to wax it with (the tester insists on using "aerospace protectant")

Toyotas paint, quite frankly, sucks. Currently at least. If I ever buy another Toyota again (not likely given the experience I've had so far) I'll definitely get a clear bra before it even leaves the lot.

paint chips are the horrible facts of life... the more you worry about them the more they will start to take place...lol. i keep one tube of factory oem paint in my trunk. touch up the most you can and if any are really deep find yourself a good friend at a paint shop. the clear bra is the best deal in town.
