Gen6 Need To See If These Rims Fit On My 07 XLE

Im a noob to TN and seeking some help. Im interested in getting the Konig Unknowns (link on bottom) for my black loaded 07 XLE w/o nav. I spoke to a toyota rep and he mentioned that the biggest i can go is 17s because 18s may force the transmission. Im not looking on mod. the suspensions or anything for the moment, just wanna dress the camry wit some rims. I'd like the 18s but that rep. got me thinking otherwise. Please help me out here. Thanks

Also wats the difference with a 17X7 5-100/114.3 40B, a 17X7 5-110/114.3 40B, and a 17X8 5-114.3 40B. Thanks once again.

That rep is a joke, why would Toyota offer 18's as an option on all Camry's then? When I bought mine I wanted the TRD 18's but they weren't available in the southern Gulf states, so the only option for 18's was the BBS 18.

On your second question, the link right below thw size explains how to decode the wheel spec but...
17X7 5-100/114.3 40B means 17' rim, 7" width, 5X100 bolt pattern, offset 40mm
17X7 5-110/114.3 40B means 17" rim, 7" width, 5X110 bolt pattern, offset 40mm
17X8 5-114.3 40B mean 17" rim, 8" width, 5x114.3 bolt pattern, offset 40mm

Here's the description from the site...
Reading Wheel Sizes:
Example Size: 15x7 4-100 40S15 - Rim diameter in inches.7 - Width of rim in inches.4-100 - Bolt Pattern.4 - Number of lug holes in wheel.100 - Distance between lug holes (in millimeters).
Some wheels have multiple bolt patterns.15x7 4-100/108
This wheel fits cars with both 4-100 bolt patterns and 4-108 bolt patterns.40S - Offset and finish40 - Measures in millimeters how far back or forward the mounting surface (face) is from the center of the wheel.
S - Silver Finish.

Further information on all of these topics can be found at our “Info Center”.ns and 4-108 bolt patterns.40S - Offset and finish40 - Measures in millimeters how far back or forward the mounting surface (face) is from the center of the wheel.S - Silver Finish.Further information on all of these topics can be found at our “Info Center”.

Thanks for the replies. As for the rim size and the info that toyota told me, they said that according to the manual the higher size is 17s for an XLE. The 18s is an option for an SE since its stock with 17s. Thats wa they mentioned though, i personally dont see why it would not be beneficient to place those 18s on a XLE. I dont understand these toyota reps.

Thanks loby6. I guess its all bs that these reps throwing at me. As long as i dont need to mod. the suspensions to throw on 18s (as an unknown local mechanic pointed out) im willing to install these konigs in the spring time.
