[quote=summerwind]First of all your "foreign car" is built in Kentucy[quote]

First of all, Kentucky is spelled K-E-N-T-U-C-K-Y, not Kentucy, and you're only half right! Not all 07 Camrys were built in Kentucky ... half were actually built in Japan!!

Should be attainable as stock seems to be 14.6's. Since I have never messed with these cars, I am at a loss as to where to start. If it was an American V8, I would buy a Hypertech controller and a K@N ram air setup...got a good exhaust guy so that is not a problem. Does anyone make a controller for these cars or a ram air setup?...really don't want to get carried away but would like to know of any basic "tricks" to more power on these cars. Thanks, Ted
I bought my SE to get something sporty, quick and reliable. A good daily driver etc. I don't want to start ripping in to it, as with any internal engine mods, FI mods, something gives. Not to mention my 7/100k warranty is gone.

To achieve your times I'm guessing you'll need an extra 40-50 hp. It's a small challenge to get that out of a V8, so in our V6 a lil more difficult. Cams, Heads, ECU etc.

If you can hold out there's a faster, affordable 4dr., around the corner......

I'd wait for the http://www.pontiac.com/g8/ . LS2 based motor, ported heads get's you in the back to the original 400 and prob. to 425Flywheel or so. Basically a Heads and Cam LS2 (depending on the cam) will put down 380-430 to the ground in a auto. Or if you want to drop some coin, a built 427 CID and make 475+ to the ground. Hats off to the Holden Designers with the styling!

I'm going to try and not test drive the new G8 (almost bought a Pontiac Grand Prix GXP) as long as possible as the Camry may be up on the blocks.

I don't know why there's not more aftermarket support for Camry's in general. There is volume out there.... Must be the demographic of Camry buyers.

So I've come to the grips with my SE V6 will not be a fast car. But it's quick and the power is decent for what it is.

Camry owners are too damn cheap to buy anything that costs more then $9.99........Seriously, read the threads in the Gen 3 & 4 section and you'll know what I mean.....
