07' SE V6 Transmission Question

Hi,

I am new to the forum. I ordered 07' SE V6 yesterday and expect to pickup next week. When I browsed the web last night I found lots people complaint about their transmission problem. Does Toyota fix this problem yet or people still wait for the solution?

Thanks,

Jerry

Nope, no clear fix yet, from Toyota... In fact, there are some "rumors" going around that Toyota calls a slipping transmission "normal."

I took matters into my own hands, sent the Camry packing for TL... Funny thing, as chitty as the TL is supposed be, the transmission operation has yet to make me think twice.

new production cars should have an updated transmission with the issues resolved.

if you are in the least bit wary due to the rumors you read, i would advise you to cancel your order and look elsewhere, there is nothing worse than being made to second guess yourself for the length of a 48+ month term.

Gen6 07 Camry with no Problem

I bought an 07 Camry XLE that was after the VIN numbers identified in the TSB and I have had no problems with transmission flare with 2K miles on the car. My build date is December 2006. In fact I have had no other problems with any of the rattles that everyone talks about.

It seems that Toyota finally got their assembly line in Kentucky to get these problems resolved. I would get a copy on the TSB's (do search in this forum) and go back to the dealer and make sure your new car is not included.
