Gen6 07 Cracked Headlight Cluster !!!

Hi all,

I live in Toronto and yesterday I noticed a crack line on the headlight cluster of my 07 camry. However, I found no sign of any stone hitting it, so I was wondering if anyone else have experienced this before. Could this be due to the cold weather?? Any ideas?

thanks

Yep, just claim warranty. And make sure to point out the lack of stone chips, else your case will be thrown out.

Looks like a "Stress Crack". That is the point I would ...err...Stress to the dealership.

No reason for that. Could be simple twisting and turning of the vehicle while driving. Could be it was never set properly in the socket it rests in. Many reasons as to why it happened. Be ready for them to say it was a stone chip or any kind of road damage....

Just stay cool and stick to your guns...

You haven't had the car that long. I'm sure they'll replace it under warranty.

Not meaning tgo be negative here, but someone might have leaned up against it, hence no chip. Be prepared to explain that away as well at the dealer. I bet that cluster isn't cheap.

I took it to the dealership and one of the Service guys looked at it and he said he cannot determine the cause and I will have to take it back on Monday to show it to the service manager. It is expensive to repair I assume so I definately have some convincing to do tomorrow!

I will try to take some pics and post them here.

thanks
