Yeah, the Z2 is suppose to be out soon. From the info on avic411.com there is rumor that Z1 owners can have their unit updated to be the same as a Z2, but not sure how that is going to workout. I am very happy with mine and the Z2 will be sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!

LoL, im on there too. From what i read the upgrade is going to be available but its going to cost up in the 200 dollar range. Then the z1 will be exactly like the z2. The only difference between them both, from what I was told, was that hte z2 has 3d graphical displays of buildings and streets in nav mode. Thats it.

Either way, i cant wait to use my z2. Does that light flash bypass work for you? So you can play dvds while driving?

I heard that too about $200 for the upgrade ... I'll probably do it, or find a way to hack it - hahahahaha. I have the bluetooth update so the flasher is not needed. I have a flasher that I took out when I did the update. It worked great, and so does the new bypass

You will love it. I have Sirius & XM w/NAV traffic, Ipod, and gonna do a back up camera soon.

So with the bluetooth update you can watch dvds while moving without first flashing your headlights? I wonder if the headlight flash will even be necessary with the new z2. Either way, i sure as hell hope I can play dvds while moving. That was 50% of the reason why i bought the damn thing.

As for a hack... if it is updated the way they were saying on avic411, then it will be on a dvd. And if thats the case then id almost bet someone will get ahold of one and copy it and release it to everyone.

Yes and no .... Depends on what you install in it's place. The factory bluetooth is part of the stereo, so if you take it out you loose it. With the Pioneer Z1/Z2 it has the ability with a module to do bluetooth. I have the bluetooth module installed and also the module to use the steering wheel controls. So it can be done if you want to spend a little extra $$$. One thing in my opinion is the factory bluetooth is very good. If you have the JBL system you will need to order a tyto-01 module if you plan to go aftermarket as well.

There are 2 separate adapters that are required for the bluetooth and the steering controls.
