5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
^Not about options, but about standard equipment ie. leather, 4-wheel disc breaks, fog lamps, and other little goodies are OPTIONS on the LE, while they are standard on the XLE.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
All Camrys now have 4 wheel disc brakes with drum in disc rear parking brake and ABS standard.
XLE adds standard features that options or not available on the LE such as standard alloy wheels (opt on LE), automatic climate control (not available on LE), reclining back seats (not available on LE), power passenger seat (not available on LE), etc. On the web site, click features and prices for comparison, not options.
aren't 4 wheel disc brakes standard on all trims except the CE?
CE has 4 wheel disc brake with ABS and EBD. The only difference between CE and LE as far as standard features is the power driver seat, and keyless entry are not available on CE.

XLE also has the rear vent behind the center armrest. On a hot day, I wish I had bought the XLE so my kids would have that vent! Next car for sure... V6 XLE of course!

Set the vent to floor and dash. There are a couple vents under the front seats that are pointed to the rear IIRC.
So what's the difference between the two? I went to the website and they both have virtually the same options.
Looks like you are considering ALL options. That’s great…..
Consider this, look at the option settings for the door locks, lights out delay and so on. Be armed with what you want, then, when you negotiate the price, require that the options be programmed in. This could be a ride for a while, then, decide (get it in writing, first). This could save you some programming fees in the future.
Good Luck, Enjoy your wheels and HAPPY CRUISING!!!!

the CE is the best value. other trims just has more bells and whistle. basically its the same f-king car! if you like to get rape on the options then get the xle
The LE also has the 60/40 folding seat, while the XLE does not, but does have the rear reclining seat. I went with the LE because I don't like leather, wanted a rear seat that folded down, and I prefer the standard climate controls over the digital ones(I'm not a bells and whistles kind of guy). I have alloy wheels, a moonroof, and I'm planning on adding fog lights soon. I could care less if my passenger seat is power or there are air vents for the back, because I'm usually the only one in my car.
Just consider what your needs are and then pick the vehicle that's best for you! Good luck.

So....you've been raped with your XLE?
