Checking out some rims (56k warn for 268KB image)

I've been looking at getting some rims. These are the ones that I found at tirerack.com that I like

These are my top picks. I don't think I could go wrong with any of them. The Volks are nice, but I can't afford them at $709 per wheel without tires.

I cannot decide betwen 17" and 18". The thing is that 17" has cheaper tires

Do you plan to drop the car with aftermarket springs?

I'd like to drop the car maybe an inch, but not while I'm living in the boonies. Reason is that I need the ground clearance for gravel and dirt roads.

Also I need the clearance for some stupid designed parking lots. I've scraped the center of my car even at stock height on some driveways.

Once I move out of the boonies next year, I will consider doing the drop.

^^ The 9.5 wide wheel won't fit the rear. Thanks though.

I agree with thanatos808. Find someone who's selling their stock SE wheels with tires and sport them until you get out of the boonies. By then you should have enough money saved up from not buying aftermarket wheels to get 18" wheels and be able to drop the car safely.

I don't really like the look of the 17s that come stock on SE and I do not want anything larger than 18"

I think I'd rather rock my 16" hubcaps or bare steelies than get a set of wheels that I'll only use for a year. Seems a bit pointless.

I found some SE wheels for an ok price, but do they really weigh 30lbs each rim? That's ridiculously heavy for a 17" wheel.
