That depends...
Since he has mounted the amps to the support beam and not the seat itself, there will be some circulation behind the amps.
The question is if the back cover board (to hide the equipment) is pressed up against the amps or not. That would definitely be a hazard.
Otherwise, they are semi-low wattage so that shouldnt be a huge concern.

The back board is a ways back, actually behind the sub enclosure. The carpeted board behind the amps have been removed so the entire back of the amps are not touching anything but the cross beam, there is a pretty good bit of room behind them for cooling. This pic was taken before the sub enclosure was built so that piece of carpteted material is now gone. Without that there it is an open area right into the trunk.

Oh yeah, if you did your speaker installs yourself, do you have any pics/info on how to get the front door panels opened up to put in the front speakers?

Did you not change the tweeters in the dash?

Thanks

I have the tech specs that Crutchfield sent me. I bought my steering wheel module from them. I can fax them to you tomorrow, they are at home and I am at work

No ... I disconnected them because they didn't work out very well with the way everything was hooked up. They got too loud too quick and when you turned it up they distorted But I am thinking of getting a small amp and putting some 3.5" polks up there.

OH CRAP!

dammit toyota for making it like this!!

So does this mean changing the JBL speakers will not offer any improvements? I know that the JBL's are 2 ohm speakers too...
