Fog lights - does it help?

Have an 2002 Camry XLE.

I have the removable openings for the fog lights and there are connectors in there (pre-wired looks like). But my turn signal stalk does not have the switch.

I see many fog lights in ebay for about $60 bucks (some yellow, some white).

Are these really helpful? I think they are more for the looks (which I like too).

Any ebay seller whose fog lights are better? (and comes complete with relay & seperate switch) ?

Do these come in glass or plastic pexi kind of glass?

its ebay... you won't find any made of glass or any really quality material. one of our members has had the clear plastic on his foglights become yellow after a year... remember, you get what you pay for. this is why i opted for OEM foglights from the dealer after seeing how my own ebay kit's fitment was.

most of the fog kits come complete with a harness, relay and switch, but these kits do not utilize the prewired connectors on your car already. you have to run a wire througn the fire wall and it can become quite a hassle and messy. again, this is why i used the OEM option... my car, like yours, was prewired for fogs. i bought the relay and the OEM headlight stalk with the fog light switch. a much easier install but a very expensive option over all for me: bumper (~$200, my original did not have removeable fog covers), paint (~$400), headlight stalk (~$100), relay (~$50), and foglights ($200). i definitley feel its worth it though!

good luck!

^To be fair, I've had my ebay fogs for almost 2 years now, and the lenses on them are still the same as when I got them. And also, they fit perfectly for me.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

I had the ones off ebay. Got 2 sets of them. My first set fit like crap and the lenses turned yellowish after a couple months and the insides would also condinsate. I thought i just bought a crappy pair. I asked white3chocolate where he got his becuase he said his were good even after a good amount of time. I bought another set from the same seller and they did the same thing as the first set i had. Maybe White just got lucky with his. I then finally decided to buy the OEM ones and i love them. They fit perfect and the lenses stay nice and clear. Also i think the OEM ones give out a better light output then the ebay ones. So if you don't mind spending the extra $$ get the OEM's.
