Ok, I don’t know what’s going on with my DRL, i first noticed that my DRL does not work last night while warming up the car also the High beam does not work when on, but works when flashing. This morning I checked the fuse and it’s good. But still no DRL so I was like ok forget it, then drove off and when I got to my campus parking lot i noticed the DRL came back on. But when I try to turn of the high beam it does nothing, but it works when I Flash my high beams then after that the DRL does not work again. Anyone have any ideas? Also if one DRL blows out does the other one not function?
I have a 2004 Camry LE with 28,xxx miles and I believe my warranty just ran out. I'm going to try and see if new bulbs would solve it, I don’t think it’s my HID that’s affecting it because that’s been installed for over a year. The only Electrical Related mods I have done are HIDs, Auto Dim mirror which were both done a long time ago. And my latest electrical related mod done was adding in a Car 2 Aux Box to the radio connecting it to the CD Changer port, this was done last week. Could it also be the relays as i see DRL #2 and so on.
hey i have a question when you stick the key in does the DRL come on? i dont remember. right now my DRL comes on only when the car starts up. also if my e-brake is on before the car starts up the DRL does not come on untill i release it. i also tried starting the car up with the e-brake off and the DRL come right on. is it suppose to do that? i just started to use the e-brake when i park to take the wright off the tranny cause i believe my front brakes needs to be changed and it does not hold the car when i put it in park.

DRL's only come on when the engine is running.. was working on my fogs this morning and noted that..
Hey, make sure the e-brake is fully released. Start the car, and turn it to where the DRL, and the Taillamps come on. Then, try that. If that don't work, your bulb may be blown. Or, a loose connector. I wouldn't understand why yours would be out. Mine is older than yours.
No, if the ebrake is on when you start the car, they will not work. Only if you start the car, and release the ebrake, turn off the car, and restart it again with the ebrake on.
I can't really help you there. I have a Gen 5.5 which is different since it has a auto feature.
My car did that before. I thought it was a bad fuse but it wasn't the case. Instead, I just left it, let the computer do its thing and the DRL came back on when the engine was running. Now, it just comes on whenever you turn on the engine. I think it was programmed to do that. As for your high beams, the bulbs wouldn't do anything. If the bulb is out, it's out, it won't effect the random times it works or not. Check the wiring, and the fuse in the engine and under the dash.
I would think it would be a bad fuse or relay but you said you checked it out already...and if its fine when you flash...than you have me mind boggled. As for the drls...they come on after you have turned the car on and released the e brake.

I'm guessing its fine, just that my mind is bugging out, its like you see something and dont remember it did that.

Yes.
Seems like you should check your wirings to the mods you've done (HIDs and the mirror). I am guessing its either a faulty DRL module or that it was something you've done. Most likely the ladder one.
^NO! the DRL's do not turn on when the car is switches to the on posistion. It can...but your e-brake must be released. IF you start the car with the e-breake down already..then it will come on automatically. Usually the only likghts that come on with no power are your headlights, tail lights, and parking lights.

Yes, ^^ basically what I've agreed to. Pleae reread his post and see if you agree. Key word, "engine starts up" I've been putting my ebrake up on my Corolla to bypass the DRL when I had HIDs back in the day before any real method was created. But that was before I sold it.
^Yea if you read further...he says it wasn't faulty wiring and that he never really noticed that feature. Nothing changed from the first time he installed the HID kit. NOt only that...but its basically impossible to mess with the wiring on a kit. HE is only using it in his lows...so if he didn't make a wire harness for the setup...whicih i'm pretty sure he didn't, its almost impsoble to wire incorrectly unless reversing the polarity on the ballast. Even if he made a mistake it would have only affected his low beams not the drls. It would be a differnt case if he tried putting them on the highs or if his car ran a dual filament bulb...but thats just not the case
edit for an edit, lol. Tangerine...it seems to me like you were paying attention either when it comes to the car he drives...cuz he said its a camry...not corolla
