5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I've been trying to hunt for a black SE V6 w/ navi and both package #1 and package #2. I've found out that there is currently 8 of these exact models in the nation, the closest one being 250 miles away. They've offered to have a dealer transfer if possible, or have it allocated on their next orders, which will take around 6-8 weeks. They had an internet quote of $28,xxx for the configuration.
I'm reconsidering taking the navi option. I'm planning to add aftermarket audio speakers later on anyways, so that might make me want to change out the stock HU. Should I just get a SE without navi and buy the dash kit a bit later and add a double din aftermarket navi with better featuers and double as a nice HU? I wouldn't need the JBL audio anyways if I'm going swap out speakers.

I guess right now I'm debating on getting navi or not. If I were to add an aftermarket HU anyways, would I then have to remove the stock navi or do anything to it?

There is a Black 3.5 SE w/ Navi, heated seats, etc listed for $30,822 but is going for $28,xxx at Longo Toyota (biggest car dealership in the WORLD) here in SoCal. By the way, do any of you know if the heated seats (Sport Leather Package) can only be had if you order the Navi?
LOL oh yeah that auto mall's financing rate is 7.99%. LOL! LOL! LOL!
Even if I was a 13-year old kid with no credit, I could probably still score a better rate than that. Why do they even publish 7.99% on their site - it only does them a dis-service.

I don't finance.
If they publish their rate, you know it and then you can set up your own financing before the purchase. Thought that would be evident.

How is that Toyota's rate?
Toyota's rate is 4.9 for 4 and 5 years. 3.9 for 2 and 3 years. I know you can get financing from elsewhere. The thing is here in Canada, we have 5-7 banks total. I know in the US, there are HUNDREDs of little banks, but here usually the manufacturer's rate is what you go by because chances are that the bank won't offer you anything better.
And besides, some Camry owners cannot afford to just put down $30K on the table. Some of us are poor, and can only drive a Camry by paying it off slowly.

That rate is TFS for Camrys. No special incentives are out for Camrys. Now a prius is as low 0%. Bottom line it depends on the car and the region. We post are rates so anybody can see whats up before they come in. Remember its your money check your local bank you might be surprised. I say if you belong to a credit union use it.
