Gen5 trd muffler question for gen 5 v6

what up guys, I just installed the trd muffler. I have the v6 so of course it gonna be quieter on than the I4. If any of you guys have it on the v6 here is my question, does the muffler seem louder from 1.5k to 3k rpm? and after 3k it tends to mellow out and all you hear is the engine.

thanks

There's a chance it might change after the exhaust is broken in.

I have a TRD muffler on my '02 LE V6. After the engine is all warmed up, mine is usually the loudest around 2700rpm. Over 3k I hear mostly the engine.

Its the same with the 4cyl. Exhaust sound is mainly on the lower end. Beyond about 3200-3500, its all engine.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

the TRD exhaust is quiet in the v6. It's tough to hear it unless you're accelerating

quick question guys, i just remember something. when i took of the stock muffler, i reuse the exhaust gasket on the trd muffler, my question is there a certain way the exhaust gasket has to be place? because i dropped it and didn't remember which direction is was in... but yeah

no specific direction for the gasket. its a crush gasket... so it'll form to whatever shape the mounting surface has. when i bought it new, it was perfectly round and had no ridges or whatsoever.

might as well, its pretty cheap ($2 or less). a new gasket would seal better than the old one at any rate.

haha another question for you trd muffler owners, ever since i installed the muffler, there is funny smell coming from the muffler. i am assuming its a protective coating for the muffler. how long will it take for the smell to go away? or is there something wrong with my muffler
