My OEM Toyo tires are getting really worn. I was checking out tire rack for reviews and prices but there are so many tires now days. I wanted to go with something a little lower profile since I will be putting on TRD springs as well. OEM tires are 215/55R17. I wanted to go with a 45 or 50 hight but a lot of the good tires seem to only come in a 225 W. Would a 225 fit on my rim? What seems to be the tire of choice now days on the forums?
i've noticed what looked like toyo tires on several pictures. They make good quality. I personally have Hankook tires and they perform just fine. Never had a problem, until one got taken out by a pothole you could stand in . Just an example of performing well, I used to race around with my friend and his honda prelude, we'd be going 120, downhill with his car and mine and i'd get no shaking. They felt almost as if the faster you went the more solid you were to the pavement.

Thanks!
225 should fit if your rims are 17x7. does anybody know if you can shoehorn 225 in a 16x6.5 rim? i'm thinkin about going 225/55r16 next tire purchase.
Not enough info isn't going to give you better results. Besides the tire sizing your gonna have to tell us what you want out of the tires. Are the tires for DD or autocross, which is your priority, threadwear or performance?

A good combination or compromise of both would be great. I want great handling and performance. I also want the quiet as possible. Warranty isn't as important but obviously the better the warranty the more inclined I am to purchase so long as the tire would meet my 1st and 2nd requirements.
You forgot the price budget you have for the tires. And dunno which tire speed rating you want (not that important but better to be more specific in finding the tire you want).
