tsb question! URGENT!!

My vin number is 4T1BE46K47U581432 and i was comparing my vin number vs the tsb one. The problem is i do not know how to read the vin number part. Here is the tsb i was looking at. I was just wondering was my car built after toyota fixed the problem?

http://www.djmase.com/tsb/Camry2007/tc010t06.pdf

I thought my car was normal until my friend drove it. He test drove my car today and when he took his feet of the gas pedal we felt a "lag" sort of thing. Not sure if this was normal for all I4 users.

My I4, U250 went to the shop for the second time on Monday March 26, 2007 (a scheduled first oil change) and my better half made the repeat complaint about the harsh downshift and hesitations. Their tech drove the car, drove it like a little old lady, and she told him to get up to speed and go at the posted normal pace. Now the part is on order and we are waiting for the scheduled repair date & time. My VIN is further out of the listed “stop” VIN on the TSB than yours. Your VIN is from the KY line 2 as is mine. On your drivers door post is the date of mfg. Mine was “run off” the first week of 12/06 (had a shipped date of Dec. 11, 06). My current mileage when taken in for the oil change was ~1650 miles. Long story made short, my dealer is making a valid attempt to correct the response problems, even though the VIN is outside (after) of the 2 TSB(s).

“The first step toward solving any complaint, is to tell the dealer, and get it documented exactly as stated!”

GOOD LUCK!!!!

The TSB applies to vehicles built prior to your's.

Krouchchocolate,
Have a mechanic at the dearler test drive it with you. During the drive, be polite and nice to the mechanic as his decision will override those "Service Advisor" due to his skills.
I got my car fix a lot of stuff eventhough TSB wasn't applied to my car VIN.
I also got his cel phone for future service "off-site" that it will not cost me an arm & leg.
Good luck.

Great reply!!!!

My Dealer is doing as yours did. Thanks for your info. Even if the TSB VIN cutoff is B4 yours, COMPLAIN!!!!

If you DON'T get your present complaints registered at the dealer, then the next complaint will be the first!!!

Good Luck!!!!

Krouchchocolate,

TSB 010-06 was completed today on my car. My wife drove it home and said that the responses from the transmission was great, NO Bumps.

TSB EG056-06 was already completed. This dosen't explain some of the power laggs or hesitations we have experianced.

Time will tell if the "Fixes" will hold.

4,2 hours In to Out time, Wife had a loaner car.
Parts used: 1ea 35290-45010 Soloenoid assy, line
1ea 35168-21020 Gasket, Transaxle OI
3ea 00289-ATFWS World Standard AUTOM "transmission fluid"

All @ N/C

Remove and replace ATM line pressure control solenoid assembly. Then to verify proper transaxle operation, drove car for 5 miles.

I still need to watch for proper operation and any fluid leaks.

For all of the "Skimeer Readers"

TSB 010-06 HARSH 5-4 DOWNSHIFT ON DECELERATION.
MY VIN IS OVER 63125 PAST THE "PRODUCTION CHANGE EFFECTIVE VIN", and this TSB was applied.

Raises the question, DID THEY USE SOME OF THE OLDER (before production change effective vin) STOCK PARTS????

(Might have run out of NEW parts during MFG & slipped in an "old" new part.)

TSB EG 056-06 Dealer states "Already has latest calibration".
This still has not explained or clear any of the "Hesitation" problems I have had.
