No where is there mention of the model of the tire. I can see Toyo in the picture; beyond that, nothing. How about jotting down the model and looking them up on the manufacturer's web page and seeing if they call them performance tires or not?

how bout looking at the tread design....

believe it or not these are high performance tires, these are PXJ33 @ $167 a piece and theres only one size available - 215/55r17, which coincidently is the SE's stock size

Not sure about the Toyo's but I heard the factory Bridgestone Turanza's (so called Hi Pro. as well) don't last more than 16k.

If the Turanza's were on the car, I would've took the rims off and sold them right away and upgrade the wheels/tires. 16k out of a not the great hi performance tire, I'd rather have real performance tires on it and get the same mileage out of them.

Anyhow, since I got the Michelins All Seasons, I'm ok with running them for a little while and then upgrading it later when I rack up some mileage.

BTW I believe the Michelin's start with about 11/32 of thread or somewhere near there. When I rotated my tires last week the fronts had 8/32 and rears had 9/32 left with 14,000 miles. I figure I have at least another 20-22K left on them given the current wear.
