Gen5 Looking for 05-06 2.4 (2AZ) mods. I've done a search already...

I realize that the Tc has the same engine but am unable to find mods that are Camry specific.

I have done the following: TRD springs, TRD STB, TRD Sports air filter, and TRD exhaust/muffler.

I am interested in headers, 02 simulator, rear sway bar, and possibly a supercharger.

If anyone has any information I would appreciate it.

Also, if you know of other mods that I haven't listed please share. I don't really care about the ricer CIA's and other gay fad stuff.

I've got a rare lip for sale! http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t186367.html

Hehe...

There are a good number of things from the tC that will fit on our cars but they will never be listed as Camry specific since they arent "designed" to be used in our cars, and if you do use them in your car, the warranty on that item is void because you didn't use it for its intended purpose.

I have installed a Scion tC lightweight crank pulley from ZPIRacing and there's definitely a noticeable difference.

As far as tC headers, they will not fit. They will fit at the top of the block, but at the bottom, the flange is different. You can always get the header and then do some cutting and welding to make it fit, but... yeah, I wouldn't.

It is said that the tC superchargers do in fact fit in our cars, but again, you would void not only the warranty on the supercharger, but also on your car if you still have a warranty. On top of that, a couple of the hoses and stuff will need to be fabricated, but otherwise, should be a direct fit. You may also need to extend your battery wires a little bit because you might have to turn the battery sideways in order to get the supercharger to fit.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

You're a new user asking for help and you're basically telling us that you think CIAs are for gay ricers and that they're just a fad?

Yeah, ok .

If you're looking for headers you'll have to get them custom fabricated. There's a thread about this where some of the Gen5's were trying to get custom headers from a company called Mazzuri http://www.mazzurisuper.com/. (see thread here... http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t161510.html)

Good luck with your search.

tom5681: I'm a new user indeed. I am also a first time Toyota owner. I have also worked in the auto industry for twenty years. Here is a page with links to both of my cars: http://www.fbody.com/timeslips/member.cgi?id=397
I've done all the work on them myself but I haven't dared to get into the "LED shifter, tire caps, and interior kit."

I expressed my opinion and I'm sorry. But now that you've made it personal I would like to add that those LED "mods" are also gay.

Gen6 Play Nice Everyone!

Noticed the past few days everyone is a little overly sensitive to some of the posts and/or replies. Can we all just get along?

Thanks Lammy.

I may just buy a Tc header and modify it to fit properly. It's not a big deal but I would rather buy parts specific to the Camry so I don't have to screw around so much.

Personal? How did I make it personal? Was it the "three thumbs down" or was it the fact that I was clarifying a rather offensive statement you made.

Nevertheless, if it wasn't personal before it sure as hell is personal now, so you'd better bring it in the private messages bitch. (pm sent)
