5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Put Type-R sticker on will only make the car heavier...that's why people "debadge" their car because those "Camry and LE or XLE or SE" emblems are really heavy. Every ounce count you know...
So "debadge" your car if you haven't done so.

lammydi is correct. weight savings is another inexpensive way to improve track times and speed with the hp you already have... so remove your spare tire, back seat, front seat, and A/C unit
You can also debagdge your car, that should help you lose several grams of weight.
I remember getting the same kinds of responses when I asked about cheap ways to increase performance. Probably some of the best ways are to get either a K&N Filter, or just a cold air intake (doesnt do much, but may help a little).
Or you could be like this really nasty lookin Tercel at my college and put a V-tec sticker AND Skyling GT-r Emblem on your super huge aluminum spoiler.

The Type-R sticker will add weight, but you're looking at about a 50 horsepower increase at least. If you put on a Folgers-can-size fartcan out back like those Civics, then you can safely race Porsches, cuz then you'd be pushing well past 500 horses.
In other words, Honda, Type-R, Civic, and anything else like that equals RICE!

Would you consider them rice if their cars are faster then yours?
Rice is subjective, I can say your car is riced to the max and still wouldn't define anything.

Rice cars can be faster than what I drive, or what you drive. That's just fine.
The problem I have with riced-up cars deals with the terrible noise they make and their ridiculous looks.
When I see one of these rice cars I just laugh. If the driver is looking my way, I always make sure to let him know how I feel about his car. Come on, you can't be serious about stickers, home-made spoilers, fartcans, home-done purple, bubbly tint, etc.
Not to mention how much noise they love to make when the driver has his "hoe" with him. LOL then they start to play music on non-amplified stock speakers. I absolutely love the distortion from that!
For the poor ricer, $10 plastic-chrome wheel hubs will do over steelies. Some even have those LED lights inside of their fartcans. Then there's the LED lights on the windshield washer sprayers. Don't even get me started on the "chrome" wiper blades.
Hatchback ricers like to have two spoilers, too. One on the roof, and one below the rear window. It's a flat, ugly plateau-shaped thing...you can eat your lunch on that.
Don't forget Altezza-style rear lights with blue turn signals. Oh, and a hood with a non-functional air scoop. Couple that with a mis-aligned front bumper. Remember that the air intakes on that bumper have to have chicken-wire grilles. You can get the chicken wire at Home Depot for $7 a roll.

You can also drive naked so the weight of your clothing doesn't negatively affect your horsepower. Be sure you have very dark tint and drive everywhere at night so you don't offend anybody.
