OEM Auto-Dimming Mirror with Compass, need Toyota Parts #
I'm at work so unfortunately I don't have time to search through threads. Can someone please give me the OEM Toyota Parts number for the Auto-Dimming Mirror with Compass for the Gen 6 Camry? I do NOT need the mirror with HomeLink.
Very few people will know this information. Why don't you just call a dealer parts department, or go to one of the many Toyota dealer's on-line websites?
I just got one from dave.57@cox.net at a very good price. It has compass and homelink with everything you need to install it yourself. I would suggest you contact him if you want one. It will be half the price.
You are not restricted to getting a Camry mirror. You can use a auto dimming mirror w/ compass from virtually any vehicle. There are a few floating around on ebay. Some of them specifically say they are for the Camry. The ones on ebay usually do not include wiring though. Good luck.

Why do you want the OEM Auto-Dimming mirror anyways ... it's the ugliest mirror I've ever had in any car! I bought a Gentex (The only name in Auto-Dimming mirrors in most vehicles OEM) Auto-Dimming mirror for my 98 ES300 from Dave57 ... It looks 1000% better than the nasty ass boxy mirror I have in the 07 XLE V6 ... plus it has the homelink buttons which wer before the times of my 98 ES300!
Here's what you should get:
Gentex Model: Auto-Dimming mirror with compass.
It was very easy to install ... took maybe 20 minutes start to finish!

That's the same one I have in my Gen 5. They are very easy to install and very useful too.

There was a plug in my headliner for the auto-dimming mirror, completely connected and ready to go. I don't have the mirror but I'm wondering has anyone used the plug for plug-and-play?
I picked up an 07 Camry compass and auto dim mirror early last winter and the first thing I noticed was it didn't have the standard Gentex 7 pin plug on the housing like all the rest of them. It has a wire that actually goes thru the mirror swivel assembly and it attaches to a 5 pin plug on the mirror mount itself. The swivel assembly is a wedge mount and has it's own unique wire cover that goes for $10 wholesale. Vs. $3 for the standard wire cover.
This week when Evan contacted me I suspected the cars may have an existing plug. I also wanted to take the mirror apart to correctly figure out the wiring on the plug and further investigate the capabilities of the mirror. SO I cut the plug off the mirror and basically made it a parts mirror (unless it's hardwired) and sent Evan a picture of the plug. Evan has confirmed his vehicle has this plug. So I see this as a plug and play addition. But as to which or if all Camry’s have this plug remains to be seen. Another note is that the plug on the mirror does not follow the gentex standard wiring pin order. So any one attempting to wire this mirror directly without the pin out will probably fry the mirror.
About the Mirrors Capabilities:
Auto dim
Compass
Reverse Un-Dim
Auto dimming Door mirror output
