what's the difference? i'm specifically looking at the rear spoilers... on www.trdparts4u.com, the gulf state spoiler is $130 cheaper than the oem spoiler. if there's no difference, i'm obviously going to get the cheaper one

What is this Gulf State you speak of? A dealership? Maybe I can get something for the low too.

gulf states are the states along the gulf coast: texas, mississipi, louisiana, alabama, and florida. so i believe gulf state accessories are accessories that come from dealerships in those states. i don't know why and if there is a difference between gulf state accessories and oem... but if there is NO difference, i will go ahead and buy that spoiler for cheap!
Well the descriptions appear sorta different but I truly have no clue. A spoiler will definitely enhance the look of your ride. I'm very happy with mine.

did you get yours from ebay or the dealer? i'm kinda wary buying prepainted from ebay... cheap as it is, i just don't know if the paint will last or match well.

I bought my car used and the spoiler came with it so I'm not sure but it looks like OEM.

Just go get it done at the dealer here in NJ ... The first batch of spoilers had a fucked up template which was having you drill holes in the WRONG places! Knowing this, I'd rather pay the dealer to do the install... that way they are responsible for making swiss cheese out of you're trunk lid!
I had the install done at Toyota of Hackensack ... and sure enough ... I was the first Camry they did the spoiler install to (April 2006), and they didn't fuck up with the template, but they slipped with the drill, causing a dimple in my trunk lid where it was visible, so I made them fix it. If I would have bought the kit and done it myself .... knowing that the templates are messed up ... I could have done the same thing myself ... then I'd be out hundreds at the body shop!!! Be smart ... save yourself the trouble ... pay the $2-300 at the stealership and let them be responsible!!!

for anyone who was curious, the gulf state spoiler (cheaper one) is exactly the same. its basically the port installed spoiler, same quality paint and same mounting points as the OEM. i just got the spoiler today, and i'm hoping to install it this weekend. FYI, i paid $310 ($290 for the spoiler, and $20 for the install kit), not including shipping... not bad for an OEM quality painted spoiler!
