Camry Mechanic or GURU needed please about auto headlights

hI

I found out that you can adjust the sensativity of the auto headlights with a handheld BCM programmer.

They do not come on until it gets really dark. I want them to come on at dusk

The service guy says the settings are:

Light 2
Light 1
Normal
Dark 1
Dark 2

ANYONE KNOW WHICH ONE MAKE IT COME ON SOONER, OR WHEN IT JUST GET CLOUDY

THANKS

I'm no guru, but I think the logical thing to do is trial-and-error in this situation. Perhaps try the Dark 2 setting first.

If that makes your lights go in the late afternoon, then you've found your solution. If they come on after 9PM or something like that, then change it the other way.

I seriously doubt that anybody has done this mod before...haven't seen this posted anywhere.

just cover 1/2 or 1/4 of the sensor with

a small piece of electric tape, see what happens. this is an easy approach and non-invasive.
