edmunds.com or kbb.com will give you the factory invoice.

The dealer invoice is the factory invoice plus a regional advertising fee of $400-500.

You are in the SET (Southeast Toyota distributor region) so you get stuck with an extra charge plus all the BS extras that they add to the vehicles.

kbb.com will allow you to add on the extra SET charge and show you the options and prices for the SET only options.

I wouldn't pay more than dealer invoice now and if it was me I would go outside the SET if I wanted any Toyota.

Hope that helps. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

Right now I've got 3 dealers offering me $300 below invoice on an SE V6. Try to go through the internet/fleet department if you can, and make sure to contact as many dealers as possible.

Basically, I'm out to get a V6 3.5L Camry (brand new 2007 model) with leather seats only. What is the max I should offer for the car?

or LE w/comfort & Safety pkg?????????

Go to toyota.com, put in your zip code, and build and price a Camry of your choice. You will see the stock in your area and get the MSRP price.

I doubt if you will find a car with leather seats only in stock.

Hope this isn't too much for you...........

I just negotiated one for my girlfriend. She got a black SE V6, leather, moon roof, heated seats, JBL radio, rear spoiler. Pretty much everything but the Navi. MSRP was $29,544 I negotiated it down to $25,388. I used the internet emailing method, I just emailed every dealer around my area this.

"I am looking for a Toyota Camry SE V6 auto with the following options (Leather, spoiler, heated seats, JBL sound, moon roof, black, charcoal or silver in color). I have also contacted Bristol Toyota, Toyota of Newport and Tarbox Toyota, about the same vehicle. I am ready to purchase this car before month end with cash in hand, and I am ready to drive this car off your lot by this week end from the dealer that provides the lowest, best and final offer. I am using this method because I am very busy and do not want to waste your time or mine. Thank you for your time and I hope we can make a deal."

After 15 minutes Boch Toyota sent me the offer.

Dear Fernando,

We have completed the research needed to give you a price quote for a Toyota Camry SE V6.

The MSRP (retail price) is $29,544 on Stock #: 85160.

However, as the Number 1 Toyota dealer in New England for 26 consecutive years, we are able to sell the Camry to you today for $25,388. I hope that this figure meets with your satisfaction.

Please note that this price quote includes destination charge, dealer prep, and registry runner’s fees but does not include the 5% Massachusetts sales tax, $298 documentation fee, and plate and title fees due the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

Please present this email when you “Come on Down” to Boch Toyota.

In order to minimize your time here, an appointment is highly recommended.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

That's the way to do it!

Good price - about $500 under manufacturer invoice.

I just bought a Mazda CX-9 for my daughter. They have been out for about a month. $340 under manufacturer invoice using the email/fax method to Internet Sales Managers.

No negotiation needed.
