Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
quick answer......nowhere......unless you have a retrofitter nearby where you live. Shops tend to not do any HID retrofits because it is considered illegal.

It is illegal to operate a car with a HID retrofit, but it is NOT illegal for a shop to install HID.
Same difference.

i was wondering, where can I take my car for an HID retrofit, rather than having to ship stuff off to an online place?
You're in Philly ... probably like 2hrs away from me driving like you're grandma ... could make it in like 1hr 15 mins!
I'll do the install for you ... providing that you purchase the correct equipment ... I'll only deal with Denso Ballasts & Phillips/Osram D2S or D4S Bulbs ... PM me if you're interested.

why only osram...there is no build differnece to the phillips bulb which seems to be a bit brighter in output than the osrams.
Retro fits are illegal...just less eye catching to the cops. HID kits, jsut as ilegal..but very eye catching. Shops can do whatever they want with the hids, but they just need to inform you that it is illegal....basically like having to dark of tint on certain windows. You can't have it, but they do it anyways.
hmm doesn't that make all of us retrofit cars illegal
Yeah. lol. If you go back over to hidplanet though, you will find that retrofitters do not really get stopped for their lights. That is because the cops either don't notice them or don't hassle them because their lights are not a real hazard. Now those kits are a completely different story....... But I'll leave it alone for now.

i am just north of philly, and have done a retro fit ....
i could do another one for you, if you buy all the stuff and give me a small fee, however a retro fit isn't something that you can have done in 2 hours. I would most likely need a week, so that would mean you have to drive a differnet car, or buy a second set of lights for me to work on ......
if you wanted me to buy the parts, i could also do that too, but your bill will be much greater then .

Haha, well, haven't been burned, but me having my own business, and finishing up my business degree, its one of those things that put up a red flag for me.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.
