5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I will host a meet in New York City, either Queens, Bronx, or Brooklyn location, at a park, the best camry will recieve $100.00 cash grand prize, Second Place $50.00, and third place $25.00. wish I could obtain more funds, but you all know our nation is at war now, so buy war bonds, anyway, back to the meet. if any are interested let me know. figure we need at least 10 pimping whips to show up for the meet to be worth while and interesting. open to all Gens. non discrimation policy here... lol, we supply the kool aid, and if you got them light em....

Oh man, i forgot about the guns in my avatar. lol. nice one dude. cool. anyway, anyone who lives in the tri-state area, and especially in New York City, well, they sure know the ropes up here. heck, the others may show up with machine guns too. hehehe... (humor), I will set the date for the last Saturday afternoon in June, say around 2pm at Flushing Meadows Park near the Police station to make sure my guns never leave the holters. lol. yeah, I think a nice safe and secure area of the park parking area can be a great location for a meet. we can have the drawing by 3:30pm. I will bring an impartial judge. my own car will not be in the showing to keep it objective and fair. this way the best camry can win fair and square. would be nice to get at least 10 cars to make it more exciting too. but we can do it with at least 5 cars. judging to be based on mods, engine, exterior, interior, etc... can also use the occasion to share tips and talk shop.

copy that. what i meant to say that mods in and of itself, not that all cars have to modded. tight clean cars are fine too. no engine mod is necessary to enter the meet. a beautiful clean car in better condition than a car with mods, but in a lessor state, is the winner in my book. like a bodybuilder on roids versus a natural bodybuilder who looks great. we all know who the winner should be. Dude if we can get a few more then it is on. no problem for us New Yorkers. the City is a well known place and all NYC residents know where Pelham Bay Park, Flushing Meadow Park, and Prospect Park are located. we need some more whips from the 5 Boroughs to join in for June 2007. Heck, we can even take some pics and post them up here afterwards too. Wish the purse could be larger, but like I said, we need to sell more war bonds. lol.

I hear you killer. the west coast in general has more enthusiats devoted to the crafts. I think weather has a lot to do with it. we New Yorkers know that our roads and weather tear up our cars something terrible so it is hard to find true folks who devote themselves to the pursuit of excellence up here with their Camrys. NYC is hard on our cars, too many accidents up here, too many stolen cars up here, rain and snow beat up the cars here too. the northeast is the worse place in the nation for keeping the whips in perfect condition. but, as mentioned, if we can somehow find more players, then we can host the meet. we have time. June is the a good month to do it.

not sure where all our cars could fit at FMP though.. the only parking lots i can think of right now are under the overpasses and the theaters parking lots..

Hello mates. we are looking at the 3rd or 4th weekend in June 2007. picking Flushing Meadow Park because it looks like easier and better access than Pelham Bay Park or Prospect Park which is pretty deep in brooklyn. FMP has a pretty decent parking area by the Dragon boat house off the van wyck express exit entrance right off the LIE. we can do it from 9am to 12pm in order to avoid the traffic and obtain the parking slots we will need for the show off. I already have a good judge who has prior experience building race cars. My own car will not be in the running in order to maintain impartiality for the judging. we will follow pretty much the same rules and outline as Car Domain in terms of exterior, interior, engine, mods, etc... meet is open competition all Gens are welcome to show off. Grand prize to the number one car will be $100.00 dollars, Second place will be $50.00 dollars, and third place will be $25.00 dollars. everyone else gets a handshake. If i had time to find a sponser why, we could increase the prizes, but , the funds are indeed limited. you know gasoline is now over $3.00 here in NYC. still cannot figure out why since our entire armored tank armies are over there sitting on top of the oil wells...hehehe.
