question about upgrading stereo in Gen 6!

I just purchased a 2007 SE, and I am wanting to upgrade the system. The issue is I got it on a lease, and so I have no idea what is going to violate the lease?? I currently have a 12 JL W6 in a slot box that I had in my tC. Will having a system put in neg. effect anything??

The weight and power draw could increase fuel consumption. Just make sure that what ever you do to the car can be undone easily.

If you put an aftermarket stereo, use a dash kit and a wiring harness, don't just cut the wires. That way you can still plug the old stereo back.

If you have to run power wires, try to use pre-existing holes, don't go drilling new holes everywhere.

Then again, I've never leased a car, so I don't know what your lease does and does not allow. Perhaps you should consider reading the contract that you signed. All the details should be there. No point in asking us when you have the contract with the answers.
