Australia Aussie Camry performance

In Oz we have some nice reasonable performing Camry's to keep up with our V8 loving performance crowd.

They go pretty well here is a quick comparison.

Model Power Weight Kw/Tonne 0-100kmh 1/4 Mile ET 1/4 Mile TS
Aurion 200 1630 123 7.4 15.3 154
Camry 117 1535 76 9.4 17.3 134
Camry G5 145 1575 92 9.6 16.9 137

Thats it? You should import the USDM 2007 Camry V6. Maybe then you can hang with the v10 crew??

*edit failed to realize you used different measurements. Still the 1/4 mile times seems slow.

The Gen6 Camry is only available as an I4 there. He's talking about the Gen 5 Camry with 145KW=195hp.

The Aurion has the 2GR-FE.

Sorry to all the US and UK guys but we Australians and New Zealanders use Kmh so for you 0-60mph is only 0-96kmh. 1/4 mile is 400m for us too so close it doesn't matter.

The qtr mile numbers are what has been achieved by the local car magazines so sure a professional drag racer may improve them a bit but not much. Oh also its hot down here so the RA may make the times look a little slow but try going for a PB with 30 degree CELSIUS air temp and 70% Humidity. It could slow you down a bit.

The Aurion is the Oz Chinese camry gen 6 with the 3.5L V6 2GR-FE.
The Oz gen 6 Camry is I4 only.
The Oz gen5 came with I4 and 3.0L V6 with two tunes 141kw and 145kw in the Sportivio.

Unfortunately the I4 with lower gearing wasn't much slower off the mark and the V6 was a bit overgeared so it was not as fast as all that BUT in GEN5 you could order a V6 Manual. Now in Gen 6 camry it's all I4 with 5 spd auto or manual and in Aurion its all Auto all be it a six speed auto now.
