Like the title says, are there any problems with using the remote start feature on a daily basis? Its my first car with this feature and its great, i've used it everyday for like two weeks straight (since i've had the car) -
Just curious if there could be any short or long term adverse effects from using this feature daily? Engine, electronics, etc issues that may come up from prolonged use?
It is 100% OK, and why would it kill your battery faster ???? It is the same damn thing as walking in your car and starting it and going in the house while car warms up.

I had one when I lived in Fairbanks, AK. There wasn't any issue at all. I will let you in on a secret. If the starter engages a second time (with the engine running) check the Battry and the Charging system, it indicates a low system voltage, which tells the remote starter module that the engine isn't running (it makes a second attempt, causing the starter to grind).
Also I had ignition switch problems on the same vehicle, couldn't start with the switch, remote start saved the day (several times). I had to replace the key core to fix the start problem, it was wore out.
Another plus, the engine is warmed up priror to moving. [A very good thing!!!]

Should have stated I meant the lithium coin cell in the remote, not the lead acid battery in the car. Since you are probably going to be using the remote twice as much, once to start the car and once to unlock the car, the battery would be depleted quicker.
Ya - in most cases im just using as im walking out a store / mall / house / work ....
I feel empowered coming to a car thats started...
Likewise i enjoy watching folks that are looking for a parking spot stop in front of my car as they watch the brake lights turn on and the engine start....i had a guy wait for like 6mins at an empty car thinking i was about to pull out...lol - This is going to be GRREAATTT around x-mas time at the mall
It's not like im starting it and not getting to the car for 15mins (ya, it shuts off after 15mins, nice feature)
I have remote start on my car as well, and I used to always start it up while im leaving work, it's funny seeing people see an empty car start by itself :P
