Canada Blackberry / Bluetooth Question

My Bluetooth ~ Blackberry Pearl works great in my new 07 Camry XLE (without NAV) but turning off the Bluetooth using the on-off switches on the steering wheel does not work.

Any suggestion?

The 'hook' buttons on the steering wheel are to answer calls and engage the phone mode...not a toggle for bluetooth.
