Thanks for the compliment CheapChic... It was my idol car too... thats why I ordered it and waited about 2-3 months to get it... lol.
I totally overlooked the fact that the hybrid models have an entirely different system from the regular gas models. Because HID bulbs only pull 35w during regular usage compared to a halogens 55w, it may be the case that the bulb out error may go off. Be careful with using an HID setup without a harness because you may damage stock wiring and void your lighting warranty because of the amount of power HID bulbs pull when initially getting up to operating temperature.

what do they pull
they have digital ballast now.
what error could someone get, an idiot light or something like that.
thanks
ps why did you go with 4300k instead of 6000 are they yellow at all
4300k is pure white. I get no yellow in my output at all. You will get a tint of blue when the headlights initially come on though (while they are still warming up).
The reason I say that it can damage the factory wiring is because HIDs pull alot of power when they initially come on (warming up) and your factory wiring was not engineered to handle that kind of load.
If you want to learn more about HIDs and how they operate, check out HIDPlanet.com and visit the University section. They have all the information you will ever need about HIDs there.

6000K is too blue IMO. I have 5000K in mine and it's pretty blue, but not blue enough to draw cops attentiona dn pull me over.
Different makers of HIDs/xenons usually have different colors in their rating system. Ie. 6000K from Philips does not necessarily mean the same as the 6000K from the cheaper brands and vice versa. The way the lighting output projects or reflects also plays a role in its looks.
Here is a pic of my light output directly after my HID installation without covering squirrel spotters yet.
Of course I covered my squirrel spotters but this can give you an idea of Phillips 4300K color and the harshness of those squirrel spotters. This is my phone camera (treo 700p aka camera sucks smartphone) so the color is not precise but you can get an idea.
You can see the color difference between the stock halogen foglights and the HID.
