Moisture in Pass. side headlight....enough to fog and collect enough to run in droplets. I know...not really huge deal and it happens over time as cars become older...i've seen it and had it happen before.
Dealer's saying "no biggie, not really warrantable".
But in this case we're talking about a 1 month old, w/ 2K miles on it. Should it be a big enough deal to insist they make ity right or is the dealer being fair w/ me...gotta tell you my gut says they should make a car this young right.
It is warranty. Go back and make them replace the light. Not just blow the moisture out, but replace.

Seems like practically every car manufacturer has this problem. My '99 Crown Victoria was notorious for this and I lived with it after replacing the original set of housing with ebay replacements. Keep us posted but more importantly let us know if you manage to get these warrantied!

I agree with JSM1284. What does the 3 year 36,000 mile warranty cover, if not things like this? This is not normal. If it was, both lights would be doing this. Moisture, over time, will corrode whatever reflective coating is inside the housing. It seems like the dealer just doesn't want to be bothered. I would go back to the dealer and ask to speak with the service manager. Let him or her know you are very unhappy with this situation. If you still don't get satisfaction, call Toyota corporate at 1-800-331-4331 and speak to customer service about your situation.
Local dealer was reluctant to "bother", but did offer to make an appointment....to "take the car apart and find the cause". I thought BS, how can using a "tech" to take the bumper cover off and pull the housing to look for a moisture leak, make more sense than simply replacing the housing? So I didn't bother.
I went into my dealer, where I bought the SE, and spoke to a salesman, who listened, then walked me over to the sales manager. He shook my hand picked up his Nextel and told the service manager to expect me. He asked me to take the car "right over" (service loc. is off-sight) and said they'd be expecting me. By the time I got there the service manager realized they had no housing in stock. He apollogized, took my cell no, and said he'd give me a call when it was in. That was Wednesday, Fridat at 3PM I got a call to make an appointment. Late Fri's no service is done, and Saturday's reserved for oil changes only.
The receptionist asked who helped me, when I said teh manager she said "hold-on", when she returned she said "bring it right in, it'll be the last appointment of the day. When I got there, I was in and out in 20 minutes.
It's my first Toyota and while I'm beginning to see some "long-time" Toyota buyers not quite so happy lately, I gotta tell you, I'm impressed.
This is always best IMHO. When I commented previously about taking the car back to the dealer, I wasn't aware that this wasn't the dealership you bought the car from.
Anyway, I'm glad the problem has been corrected for you.
i must say, when i went in to get my turn signal stalk replaced under warranty, i was treated with the utmost respect.. the part wasnt in on the day i brought it in to get checked out, but i got a call a day later to say the part was in! and i went the day after that and i was in and out in an hr! i would love to deal with these service guys more, but that would mean me spending way too much money on repairs that i can do myself lol
