5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I not really happy with my Camry 2007 LE I4 Quality, so I have been thinking of trading it in for another car. I owe 12k on the Camry and would get 16500+/- as a trade in. The car I'm looking at is a 2003 Lexus ES300 with Navigation and Mike Levenson Sound, fully equiped! The Lexus is selling for 18.5K with 50K Miles. Would this be a dumb move? How is the ES300? Any pro or cons?
And if someone can check the VIN JTHBF30G930117374 for me, It would be Greatful!
if u still owe 12k on it and u would get 16500(which kinda makes no sense b/c my 05 w/ 28k miles would sell for that price) u would only be getting ~4500 to use to go towards the ES. i dont know how many miles u put on your 07 or if u leased or bought, or how much your paid, but i dont know if that would be a good move..
As long as your content with the new purchase then I'd say go for it. As for the financial thing, I don't know your situation so I can't say any further.
It just sounds like I'm driving a Chevy, even with the TSB Noise Reduction Kit, when I go over small bumps or make turns, the freakin interior just sounds like crap, I've complained to Toyota so many times, and there excuse is "Well you do have close to 20k miles on it" WTF? My gen5 had 90K and the interior was mint!
There is just to much plastic everywhere and where the carpet meets on the side of the front seats it always pops up? Then because they used a donut spare, you can't put anything in your trunk because it bevels down and all my $hit goes underneath.
The suspension, that sucks also, it's to bouncy in my opinion, and I have an LE and my Gen5 SE was wwwwwaaayyyy smoother...
sorry for the rant, but I'm a Toyota Lover, but I'm just disappointed that a car with 20K Miles on it sounds like it has 100k
I use to own a 99 Gen4 LE, car was solid! My Gen5 SE was 300 Pounds lighter then a LE, because it didn't have the sound deadening material in it like the LE and the XLE does and it still had a quieter interior... So what's the excuse... I don't know if it's because it was built here in the U.S. or what....
